UBER newbie

Hey folks!

I am 25 and have finally (after years of deliberating) decided to step into the fun world of motorbikes. I would love you to give me some info and advice.

I am 6 foot 2 ins and 17 stone.

Will a 125 be able to go anywhere fast with me onboard?

Is it worth doing the Direct Access test and getting a bigger machine?

I live in Winlaton (near Newcastle) so will be be commuting to work, and, (hopefully) enjoying riding in Northumberland, Lake District and the Scottish Borders, can you reccomend a decent bike for what I want to do? Preferably a sports bike.

Cheers!!

125

Cheers dude.

Is my ass too heavy for a 125 or are they just not worth the effort? I was looking at a Rieju R2 pro, but have after trawling the web, found out they are a bit, well, crap.

Like the look of the SV, not the naked one though.......

I also own a Varadero XL 125v, and am both taller and heavier than yourself. I have no problems getting across central London each day and the up to 60 mph when out of town. Someone of lesser stature should be able to get to 70 (down hill with a tail wind!).

Love the bike to bits and although I'll be getting something a bit bigger once I've passed my test, as a starting point I think it's great bike

Cheers

If you qualify for the DAS, then go for it,

I did it, passed my test last friday and am now riding around on a FZS600
