Gear lever extender

I have just bought some Altberg boots and need to extend the gear lever on my Moto Guzzi V7 Classic.

I would consider having a new one made. Any advice or help would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Tom

gear lever

Hello tom, It`s either change your boots for this bike,or find a Guzzi at a breakers with a longer lever,or it`s a break and weld job with re-enforcement.:biggrin:Question,What size feet have you?

boot size

Thanks for replying.

nine and a half - the boots are quite bulky - I have just bought them so I don't want to change them

Gear lever position

Hi Tom. I had the same problem last year, new boots but could nt change gear. I could change down but not change up. KCMC suggested i change the gear lever position by removing the lever off the splines and moving it slightly so i could get my boot under the lever. Worked a treat, Also altered the brake pedal at the same time on the connecting rod..

Good suggestion - will try

That is a really good idea and it sounds fairly straightforward to do. Thanks very much for taking the time.
