Boult, is this true...

"What must be the most famous road around the Peak District for bikers is the Cat and Fiddle Take the A54 - A537 fromBuxton to Macclesfield

This road sweeps high into the Peak District National Park and is full of twisty bends and amazing views of the surrounding area.  It is also full of cars, 4x4's, caravans, police cars, unmarked police cars and bikes (including a Fireblade) and a police helicopter!"

very true  -  for the most part the road is quite enjoyable at the obsessively enforced 50mph limit  -  but it is shared road space which does mean you get be-hatted Triumph Acclaim drivers towing overloaded caravans and fulfilling their public duty to police the roads on behalf of the cops.....:doubt:
