Fazer or Speed Four

Question i am suffering an attack of the shiny bike syndrome and considering changing my current Fazer 600 for a Speed Four. Anybody ridden both and what would thier unbiased opinion be? Look forward to all your comments.

Haven't ridden both but I had a Speed Four and my dad has the new Fazer 600, bloke at my last works had the old Fazer 600. Speed Four is definitely the most exciting & best-handling of the bunch, I've traded 'up' to a CBR600F4 now but still reckon the Speed Four was the better handler. But if you're going to cover distance then the lack of fairing really does make a huge difference - the CBR (or new Fazer for that matter) will be much better for motorway or distance work and also if you want to fly around at 100mph+. If you can fing a good Triumph dealer then you will be laughing, but be warned - if you get a bad one then if you have any warranty problems then it's brick-wall time my friend.... If I were you I'd go for the S4 - and make it a green one....they're faster you know.... ;-)

S4

Can't comment on the Fazer, but the S4 is a little cracker! I've owned and ridden loads of bikes in the past few years and reckon the Triumph is the best handler of the bunch - the only other bike I can think of that comes close is the Kawasaki ZXR250. The S4s engine is fine, really quick when you spin it up, and although I've read road tests that slate Triumph's build quality, I have owned 2 trumpets and have found it to be excellent, with a level of finish that most Jap and Italian bikes struggle to live up to. What I would say is test ride an Speedfour as the riding position is far sportier than most naked middleweight stuff.
