Oxford Maximiser 360T

Has anybody returned to their charger after more than an hour to find it just displaying "Standby" ? I'm periodically charging a couple of batteries that seem in good condition. The charger might be intermittently resetting.

2013 - The charger went through a 'funny' spell where the indicated current fluctuated a lot and I gave up with it and bought a Hein Gerike smart charger on sale, many problems with these, I've had 3 replacements and none have been totally right - please avoid !

Sod's law proved that after some time I tried the Oxford unit again and it's been working great ! I wonder if using it in the holder - vertically made all the difference instead of laying it on the floor ? Perhaps the convecting air flow though the unit is affected.
