moto-racing.co.uk :(

Anyone used 'em in the last few weeks?

I submitted an order to moto-racing.co.uk over a month ago and haven't heard a squeak. They're not answering their phone either.

Anyone know what's going on?

Thanks in advance.

wish i had read this first,

the site looks good, everything adds up! so i buy my nice new chain that i been saving ages to get. turns out the bloke is a total criminal and just took my money, you know the rest if you've ever brought anything off him, trading standerds say i have to send him a recorded delivery letter saying i want my money ( he won't reply to any normal letters ), used a debit card so the bank are useless and the bloke is allowed to keep stealing money off people! isn't there some people that can stop this? the cops may be? ohh no wait they are busy telling us bikers off rather than shutting down a website that just robbs money off people, so gutted i ever came in to contact with moto-racing.co.uk, and it was number two in the google list!!!!!!!!!!!! wtf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got my Stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock:

Shock of all shocks, i got my stuff through the post today 11 days after payment and 14 days after initially ordering.
I ordered and then became suspicious after none of my emails were answered and got no answer to phone calls either!
I sent Michael Riley an email, after researching the problems people had been having with his web company. He apologised and said my parts had been posted first class that day. True enough, although 3 days later my parts arrived. I wasn't given any explanation for the delay.

Moto-racing scams another

I purchased a set of Scream knee sliders 0n the 26th Feb 2011 from Moto-racing.co.uk the date is now 7th of March 2011  but I have not received anything.  I tried to ring and contact them via e-mail!!! no reply.  Contacted the credit card company and the trading standards and you have to wait 30 days before they can do anything, uk law.  Date today 15th March.  I contacted sage pay, Trading standards again and the Matlock Mercury over the last three weeks and today success!!! trading standards have managed to get me a refund:biggrin:  Would I have received the item or a refund without being so determined who knows?  would I buy from them again,  no chance

Might help

6 george street, Matlock appears to be a residential address so it looks like its a web business run from their house. There does not appear to be a business registerred with companies house called moto-racing or any combination so it looks like either a non legit business or a sole trader. If he's a sole trader then his house etc (assets) could be seized to pay his creditors and then lastly people who are waiting for products. If he's a limited business trading under a different name then you need to speak to trading standards.

My son ordered chain and sprockets from moto-racing (yeah should have done a little homework) on 14.3.11.  Chased order as no sign, email from riley said order had been despatched 21st through DHL should be a couple of days.  Gave it a few days and then rang DHL could not find anything linked to my address.

25th no sign so sent strong email off, in meantime had to buy another set.

What do you think happened today (Mon), the order arrived.  Sent on 24th Dhl 24 express - so it hadnt been sent when said.  Rubbish communication but at least we got the goods.

Refunded at last

I have just today had a cheque from Chesterfield Magistrates Court for my refund and costs I built up chasing down the guy (Michael Riley).
It took almost a year, but I have now got my money back.
I used money claim online. It takes time, but well worth it.
I told him in emails and letters that I would be going through the courts for a refund and costs. I guess he didnt believe me. He would have saved himself a shed load of money had he listened to me.
It has cost him though. I have no sympathy, and don't think it could have happened to a more deserving gentleman.

Moto-racing.co.uk (Michael Riley)

This guy is still taking money off people! I have waited a month for a very expensive DID race chain. I got one reply to say it was being despatched 10 days after I ordered it, But then no replies to emails or phone calls i have made.

I am now chasing him thru trading standards!

Avoid this website at all costs.....literally!

moto racing

Either he's a very very poor business man or he's got some serious cash flow problems, delaying dispatches for weeks/months when he's been paid is a sure sign of it.
