I'm Back!

Nice bikes.  We shall have to meet at Boxhill!  I shall treat that comment Easy with the distain it deserves.  Everyone should try a Duke once so that they can understand what they are missing.  DB

'Open basket dry clutch sound'

Martin at Ducati Glasgow best described it once -

i would get one...

if i could be arsed to ride. may be worth it if i got good price for daytona.

still wouldnt be arsed to get leathers on...but its something to look at over a beer in garage after work when bored.

if it was red with white bits, black wheels, etc. plain red looks boring and dull on 916

Tried a 749 last year... was quite impressed with the handling - a very skinny bike tho, but could prob get used to it..... BUT!!!!

What a gutless piece of shit... It didn't pull hard in any gears, could not match my (at the time) 5 year old, 45,000mile Gixx750 and the only way i could match the power was by getting a 999.... For about 11million pounds!!!!!

Gimme a gixxer anyday... Ha ha, you bloody wierdo's!!!

(That 916 does look nice tho Mr. Wulfie...)

I've had 7 gixxers and  I wouldn't swap my 748 for any of 'em for the sheer riding pleasure.

I used to think like you.  It felt gutless in comparison to a screaming four.  However, it handles better and the power delivery kicks the arse out of the rest.  Ask anyone on here I've ridden with.  Mark zx10r, made him work for his money and I'm on the 748.
