Rossi 2010 Air bag Jacket

I just read this weeks MCN and it says that Rossi is gonna use the air bag jacket in 2010 so what happens if ya have a unscheduled dismount in a race an wanna get back on and say come in 5th in an unlikely event such as this will the air bag jacket hinder a racers ability on the bike after a remount??????????

Airbag.

Oh, I wondered why Rossi had decided not to wear the new kit because it was raining at Donnington, it seemed daft, but maybe you've found the answer, Bri55hornet. One minor spill with no damage to the bike (as actually happened) and he'd still be hampered. Maybe he should tape a pin to the top yoke.

pin

Maybe they might have to carry a pin around with them so as they can burst the airbag:wink:

I also wondered why we were told that none of the riders wore these airbags in the wet, as lets face it, this is the percentage time when they would fall off, though at lower???speeds.

Rossi has shown that if the bike sticky out bits are all still there, championship points are available.

Air bag

The trackside commentary at Donington said that the jackets were designed with quick release tabs on the airbags for such an event. So that they could be jettisoned and the race completed without them
