Dani Pedrosa and Andrea Dovizioso will test Ohlins suspension during Monday’s test session at the Brno circuit in the Czech Republic. The factory Honda duo will run back-to-back tests against current suspension supplier Showa following successful Ohlins tests in Japan by Tadayuki Okada and Kousuke Akiyoshi recently. The surprise move is the result of a request by Honda’s Research and Development department...

Good grief, whatever next? Honda to test Yamaha engine? Don't Honda own Showa? and Yamaha own Ohlins? Mind you RDP is flying on Ohlins isn't he, so they should have some data from there surely? Stick the motor from Elias' bike into RDP's and lets see what happens

Yamaha sold their major share interest in Ohlins a year or so ago. Hence the exodus from all other suspension marks to the brand. before it would not look right. But Ohlins must have argued this link with Yamaha was a hindrence to expansion.

I guess Honda were embarassed enough by Randy DePuniet beating their 'works star' to try something drastic enough to compete with the customer rider, on a less powerful last years bike & obviously think its Randy's suspension & not his talent that is making the difference! I wonder if they'll give him Elias's works bike?

This is HRC

You better believe they've looked at all of Randy's data. Don't be surprised if LCR receives a box of updates and go fast goodies the next couple of races so HRC can better gauge the Ohlins with a bike similar to  the current factory bikes.
