so pleased to see him lift the title, well deserved, brilliant rider and brilliant person.

Top bloke......

......top ride. Great news for the less-than-young riders - there's still life in some of us!

2009 has been a brilliant year for Steve, may he have many more.

Still remember him riding an ex-Colin Edwards SP2 at Cadwell, jumped the mountain and the chain came off., stopped the bike and whilst steadying the bike with one hand tried to put the chain back on with the other! Never say die.............

What a quality ride very well done Steve. I had a load of superlatives lined up but Fuck it , Sheer class and well done to Billy McConnell hes ridden great all year . Its been the stand out racing in the UK all year ,not just those two either , Ben wilson ,James Westmoreland and Dan linfoot have been great all year , right down to the none points scorers , and they were at it brilliantly as well

Congratulations Platerman !

Well done Steve Plater on a great season. For so long a journeyman racer in the old school he has at last got the titles to go with his ability.

Great stuff - well done and good luck for next year !

Shame about the dirty dive up the inside of Hutchinson in the first qualifiying session, Hutchy ended up in the kitty litter and plater sticks it on the front row.

imagine if he had been penalised the same as billy McConnell was for his dive up the inside

all that said he did ride well this year WELL DONE PLATERMAN lets hope he's back in the big boys class next year and Harris his given the chance to take a good supersports ride and give him the chance to stand on the top step and win some races, just how unlucky can one man be.

Shut up withyour slap in the face compliments ! The bloke won and he took the bull by the horns ,he never once looked like he was riding for second,he had a job to do, he did it and in true gritty Plater fashion he won!, now thats what Britain lacks, winners and ones that want it enough, cracking ride Steve a cracking year ,what a rider ? for my money if he had been on a superbike this year Camier would of had a hell of a fight on his hands, Next season should be yours to enjoy Steve, looking forward to it already!!
