That is so shit and year or so too earlty. A very sad day for a huge Walker fan.......if only he'd gone to WSB with Suzuki instead of GP's, he could have been a world champ......but with a kid on the way maybe it makes sense to go to Norton.......I sincerely wish him all the best, a truly great rider and a decent bloke. His riding style will be hugely missed on the track and BSB will be the worse for it.......cheers for the memories fella.

Walker NOT retired!! :-)

Just had a look on the stalker web page and apparently he is NOT going to retire!! He has said that he "WILL BE ON THE BSB GRID IN 2010"!! He will be the sales manager for Norton but also be racing in BSB. He has been busy due to moving house, preparing for his imminant first baby aswell as sorting out next year.

It was not disclosed who he will be racing for but it sounds as though the  hold is due to sponsorship etc. But there is more than 1 team persueing him however GOOD NEWS!?!!

Good luck Stalker, on ALL fronts! ;-)

Steve Plater, Josh Brookes and Simon Andrews are important riders for this series.  Chris Walker is a crowd puller, I would have liked to see him on a stable, reliable bike like the Hydrex Honda it would be interesting to see where he would finish.  He has ridden the most difficult bikes in the paddock to date, not ideal, it shows Rutter knew what he was doing.

Where is Scott Smart riding?

Cant believe that GSE are still without sponsorship and may not be around next year. This would be a major blow to BSB and likewise a couple of top riders.

I've been looking out for news on the 'Stalker' for next season so here's hoping he's on the grid and racing something competitive. He's a crowd favourite and still has plenty to offer.......all the best to the fella!!
