Don't discount

The Suzuki B-King

Not the prettiest bike out there, and now of course discontinued but having spent a day with one, I can confirm that it really is an incredible piece of kit.

It's a pity

Triumph have let themselves down with with such poor quality of finish lately.

I once spoke to someone who worked as a mechanic for Triumph and he reckoned that these days, the standard of finish is so bad, they start to corrode on the showroom floor

Dunno

My dealer has the faired version of the 675 Street Triple on demo.

It's only a few months old but it's corroded really badly and already looks like a bike that's been through five winters.

On the Rocket, they don't even laquer the wheels.

They're just bare alloy - on a 12 grand bike

No one

will ever 'diss' the bike they themselves have bought (ie spent their hard earned folding on).

That's why I love mine:biggrin:.

Those Street Triples do look so gooooood though  -  maybe if I lost a few lbs.......

Gizza

is just making mischief. I have owned 3 Triumphs I had a Speed Triple, and I have a Sprint St now, and its still like new. It gets ridden all year round.

Just for once Gizza, you dan't know what you are talking about (and a friend of mine owns a Triumph dealership)and before you suggst anything - I have still not bought a bike off him!

Triumph....very nice.
But, unfortunately, not a patch on my Aprilia Tuono R. Every trip on it equates to receiving a world-class uppercut. The design may be a bit long in the tooth but it still does it for me. Can't beat a big V-twin for a kick in the bollocks now and then. Just my two-pennorth worth!
