I.O.M TT week

Hi,

I am trying to organise a trip for a half dozen guys and a girl to the IOM for TT week. Having never been before can anyone advise the best campsite (not looking for wild parties - past all that!). Also as we are coming from the south which would be the best ferry to catch?

Cheers Gary

Don't know

about the camp site, but I suspect they may all be a bit"wild"

It don't matter where you are from, the ferries go from Liverpool or Heysham. Look on the I.O.M.Steam packet web site. Some are fast ferries (about 2.5 hours), the rest take about 4hours or so.

iom camping

Glen Wyllin site at edge of Kirk Michael  is pretty good with walk to pub less than 10 mins but nice and quiet site on the coast. It must be good as a lot of germans go there!

Hi having been going to this event since 2003 the best camp site by far is the Ramsey football club, in Ramsey.

Quite camp site that is well organised a lot of regulars use this site year in year out.

You have the use of the club house facilities showers bar and proper hot breakfasts and dinners are available by Cindy at a reasonable price<<>

Hard standing for your bike, vans are generally parked just outside on a quiet road.

easy stoll into Ramsey town and once on your bike your right onto the mountain circuit. going to Douglas for entertainment either the coast road or over the mountain, easy.

The guys who travel from the "south" tend to ferry from liverpool
