lowering of R6

hi can you lower the R6 without interfering with its handling/performance. I have had lots of people say you can and you cant has anyone done it.

The seats on the newer model are wider than the older make so takes me up 2inches to much.
It has not bothered me before but i have new leathers so have to wear my sidi boots with them and now cant touch the floor and i dont want to change bikes!!!

It depends

Lowering ride height by chopping the saddle is a very effective method and won't upset the bikes balance or handling.
