Pothole Warning

It may be a while before anyone uses the road in question on a bike but be warned.

On the A272 Westbound between Midhurst and the Stedham/Minsted crossroads there is a very dangerous pothole. It is about 16 Inches long by 5 inches wide by 6 inches deep. It is right on the natural riding line, and threw my car badly to one side. I dread to think what it could do to a bike. There is also serious crumbling of the westbound carriageway on a inclined right hand bend on same road at Trotton, next to the Gamekeepers arms pub.

So if you use this road, and those who do will know the places I mentioned, then please keep em peeled.

Same round my way. More and more revealed as the snow thaws. I have hit a couple of them in the car, if Ihad been on the bike I would have been off:mellow:

What I find..

incredible is the fact that I was working at Camp Bastion in Helmand last Year, and the A1 which runs past the camp is absolutely perfect surface. And Afghanstan is the 13th poorest Country in the World!!

Then again, I don't think Hamid Karzi has a mortgage or a duckhouse.

It's

gonna get worse I'm afraid  -  early spring will be very dangerous for bikes. A lot of cars will knacker tyres and tracking too.

I know it's a ball ache, but every one needs reporting as soon as it opens up - that way the authorities are compeleed to fix them.

Pothole Reporting

I've used http://www.fixmystreet.com/ in the past and a few days after I'd posted on the site I got an e-mail from the local council and the holes were fixed the next day...
