Mod1 Test Info (Video)

Hello guys,
I made a video of myself passing the UK module1 motorcycle test.

I have added a load of annotation tips to the video to help anyone who's thinking of going for a motorcycle licence.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYOUWHrqDJg

This video sided towards new bikers on their CBT & provisional licences.

If you have any good tips for the video I will consider adding them to the video.

Thanks & good luck.

The swerve part isn't hard. Especially since your doing it on a light weight 125.
Also as you can see in my video, I did more of a smooth curve than a swerve.

What bike

That bike is a 2009 Yamaha XJ6 600cc (in-line four).

Awesome bit of kit. Only costs around £5k brand new.
Insurance group 12 though.

Great Video

Well done for passing and thanks for an excellent resource.

Just one question. You say in your annotated notes that you can go around the last yellow cone on the Figure 8, but the test diagram used by the examiners do not show this. Where did you learn this tip and did you actually do this on your test (it isn't clear from your video)?

not as wide as u like

quite a good insight into the test   ...just a word of caution  if u  go too wide on the figure of  eight   you will not pass
you can not   without question  go as wide as u like   as stated on the video .ive taken   hundreds to  test over the years  ..
there is a bit of   inconsistancy  on this point  ..

.the examiner will take in to consideration the type of bike u are taking the test on   and set a reasonable   tolerance using his own expeiriance and judgemment
your instructor should give you advice on  an acceptable
tolerance   ..  a good tip is to always go through the middle of the blue cones    and steer the bike  avoiding leaning as much as possible
nice vid    thanks

@Slowlane
At 03:41 you see me go around the yellow cone on the test.

My two of my motorcycle instructors told me before the test. The official DSA examiner in this video was perfectly fine with it.

@minkyhead
I made a video annotation saying not to go "silly-wide".
