Riding skills video: Get Bikesafe skills sat at your desk

Devon and Cornwall Police have posted this useful taster of their Bikesafe training days, giving you a skimmed version of the core skills.   It feels good to rebuild your road riding from the ground up and if that means going slower than normal but getting your lines and road positioning spot-on, it makes for a stronger platform on which to...

Great ...

I did this a couple of years ago in Fife (Glenrothes) and as mentioned earlier, it is completely free (we even got Tea and Biscuits thrown in at the Police HQ during the theory session).  There were 2 students to each instructor, with each being observed and advised in turn during a good 'progressive' run through the Scottish countryside.  I was on my MT01 at the time and am thinking of doing it again on my Ducati, just to brush up on my skills which have dulled a bit over the couple of months between bikes and Winter.

Worthwhile, especially when followed up with further training.

Done it with D&C, top blokes, good day and well worth it if you approach it with an open mind. Bear in mind that Bike safe is just a taster, meant as a gateway to taking additional training with the likes of ROSPA or IAM. This also is well worth doing. Despite the negative attitude of many of the power ranger types I can assure you it's not all pipes and slippers but genuinely makes you a safer and (where appropriate) faster rider.

Awesome!!!! If I didn't have to write my research paper, I would definitely grab my bike and my boyfriend with a camera and go try out this!
