ZX10R Frame Crack

My son has a 06 ZX10 and it has developed a crack through the weld on the left hand side swingarm. Having worked in engineering for 30 years I have never seen a "good" weld crack! Are there any more instances of this out there? If so report them. This could have been life treatening if there was a total failure whilst riding!!!  Will update site if & when I get more details - Ride Safe.

Was this through the middle of the weld or at the edge?

Son has got pictures will attach when i get them. Think it was through middle. Weld around swingarm crack radiating from inside face upwards.

Some pictures of crack as promised tape arrows show rough position. Crack runs through weld and down side of weld.
