BMW's four new celebration 2010 GS models

BMW is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the BMW GS model with four new special edition models taking in the R1200GS and Adventure, F800 and F650GS models. All four bikes get a new BMW Motorrad Motorsport paintscheme, decals, handguards, spoked wheels (except the F650GS), red seats and a tinted windscreen. All of the bikes are part of a “30 Years GS” range...

Seats...

They could give the F800GS/ F650GS a comfortable seat rather than just change the colour.

If they could do something about the build quality, and quality in general, of these bikes instead of just slapping snazzy paint jobs on them, then maybe they would start getting their customers back.

Sorry, but I'm more interested in a bike that runs and lasts than in a cute coat of paint over the same old crap.  It's a no-sale for me.

Tell you what..

I've ridden lots of very early GS B&M's (sorry, Borat fixation at present) and they have that MZ aura of quality about them - great materials also machined to perfection but weird. Proper MZ's I must add. Nowadays however quality may well have been overtaken by other priorities. This started when B&M's no longer sported roller cranks, or put primer before paint....

2010 bmw's.......YES!!!

The new colour scheme for the 2010 30th ann Bmw's is a definite thumbs up.

I hope Bmw take on board this comment(not very likely),in that the colour adds new life too these bikes, especially the ordinary GS1200 which,i feel is overshadowed in the looks department by  the Adventure. The red seat will be a killer to keep clean, but it looks fantastic.

Well done BMW,but don't discontinue the colours, please.........
