i agree partly with twobike, they are all great bikes for sure.... as for fastest the japs agreed a 186mph maximum which is fair enough..... and that means IF the japs want the fastest bike the could have it in a heartbeat EASILY.      to me the best is the BUSA followed by the ZZR, they are the true kings of the road.... the rest are track bikes, that can be ridden on the road....  you can travel at hyper speeds all day on the BUSA and ZZR, and arrive refreshed..

The main difference with the Busa and Zed and the rest of the bikes is more wind protection and comfort (especially the Zed). All bikes are great and will go more than fast enough for most of us. The Busa and Zed however will offer more protection from the elements, more stability (being heavier and with longer wheel bases) and will be much more comfortable in general and also on longer journeys. The smaller bikes will offer quicker braking and accelleration and better handling but are obviously not so good at longer journeys (with harder seats and smaller tank ranges). All bikes are great for the road, it just depends what you want YOUR bike for? A quick blast? Then get a sports 1000. Want a bit more comfort and want to do a bit of everything with a bit of distance? Then get the Zed.

It is painful and unpleasant to be ridden slowly and it tortures you to accelerate as I found out with the 08 Fireblade which, being a Honda, probably isn't even the worse in that department. Hypersport bikes are as "sporty" as a bike can get on the road (for now) while retaining the minimum mandatory comfort and convenience the roads require. They could loose some weight though. I'm sure that will happen in the future. The new VFR is a good example of that, you practically don't feel the weight when you sit on that bike.

i cant stand hearing pratts complaining about they are to fast if thats how you feel buy a hyasung  250cc or a volvo
