GT550 Indicator

Hey all. Some help needed.... I have a 1988 kwak GT550 and am having an issue with my indicators. They basically turn on, but will only blink when at quite high revs. I am assuming that it’s a relay problem, but not too sure. Any thoughts folks?

This is a problem on both sets of indicators by the way.

Thanks all

It`s very rare a relay /flasher unit problem,i would check the voltage of the battery and the voltage at the relay,it`s possible you may have an earth drain like a slight bare wire touching the frame, also i would check the fuses for correct rating.

Hi Bannerman

Check the wattage rating of the indicator bulbs, to high and you will get the symptoms you describe.

P.S. I am not an expert.
