For Android users...

I've tried an Android app called Ride Logger. It doesn't looks as good as the MCN app, it gives you the ride stats on the phone but instead of showing your ride on a map you have to export the ride to a Google Earth file. It's £1.49 so I suppose you get what you pay for.

Great App.

I've really enjoyed using this app.  I've been guilty of the top / inside pocket error but am still pretty pleased with the data I'm provided with.  I'm not sure I'll "share" the details as it's posible I may have slipped to 75 mph at some points.

So, MCN, when will this app be available outside your own playground?

dexta - us version coming very soon, if that helps

stuart - you could use it on a track day, but if the track doesn;t exist on google maps, you'll just see your route in the shape of the track.  Either way you can use the map view it to see your peak speed in each corner on each lap.

if using on a track, please note comments below about data accuarcy and phone positioning though

Finally, since Apple have released OS4 for the iphone, existing users who have upgraded to OS4 may find that the map view has stopped working correctly when you zoom in. The next free release should include a fix for this.

Similar Android Application

There is a similar Android Application on the Android Market "Ride Logger" by Nick Holliday for £1.49. Haven't downloadoaded it but the pictures show it can do similar things although the pictures do suggest that the User Inteface is a little more basic.
