VTR fuel valve

I've had a running problem with my VTR Firestorm for ages. It's been in & out of the dealer's many times but they haven't managed to fix it.

Yesterday I decided to have a go myself & stripped the fuel system, only to find the diaphragm in the fuel valve was split.

I went back to my friendly Honda dealer to get the part & am told that I can only order the complete valve at a cost of £150.

Does anyone know whether I can purchase the diaphragm on it's own from somewhere without spending £150?

VTR

Have you tried asking on the VTR forum? Someone there may know. I've heard of this before and am sure there's a fix for it.

Hi

Wemoto do a fuel tap repair kit for your bike at £42ish quid.

http://www.wemoto.com/bikes/Honda/VTR_1000_FY_Firestorm_-_SC36/00/

Interestingly you will find it is a genuine Honda part.

Fuel valve

Thanks. I've scoured the ebay shop & I daresay that they have what I need, but I don't have enough detailed info to find it.

Cheers for the link though,
