Which is best?

Pan European or FJR 1300,

Ridden the Pan today, very impressed.

Rode a FJR a couple of years ago seem to remember enjoying that too:blink:

Pan

Didn`t the Pan have a habit of throwing Police riders off . About 10 years ago the widow of a Police Motorcyclist sued the County Council over an accident on the A470 near Merthyr and blamed the death on a repair patch overbanding on the carriageway .

Apparently a Midlands Force used to bring their riders to S.Wales to do high speed riding instruction and on one of these sessions he came off .My boss was called as an expert witness and I told him of the Pan problems at the time . I think the case went the widow`s way , after all they are the Police and must be right ?

FJR or PAN

I'm on my 2nd FJR since 2004 and my brother's just bought a Pan (1300)

It's a personal thing.

Make up your own mind and try both.

The Pan feels lighter at lowish speeds and comfort ( I think) is slightly better.

FJR 5mpg better when travelling together, quite a surprise.

Can't agree that the Honda is better built.

My 2003 FJR had less corrosion than the 2006 Honda, the paint is even blistering on the rear sub frame under the seat of the Pan.

I think the early FJRs were better built than 2006 on but the later bikes are more comfortable to ride in hot weather. Roast chestnuts  on my old bike!

They are both great bikes.

Let us know what you decide and have fun......Oh yes, the Yam does that best!
