Me mates blade started vibrating,  seems to me like the engine is out of balance........

Could it be that a cylinder has gone down?  plug/HT lead or a injector maybe?

Does the engine create that much stability to the frame?

Only 13k miles on it,  tricky to say although we feel there is a lack of revs at the bottom end around 2-4k revs. but only just noticable,  we think!

We changed the plugs, tested ht leads ect ect...  the bike is still the same.

It seems as if the engine is out of balance/sequence ect

it revs and performs as should.  this ones a mistery?

07 Fireblade.

What fuel you using and how long has the fuel been in the tank?. Did it start vibrating after you filled up?. You can get some dodgy fuel anywhere really so before you try the dealers, drain the tank as low as you can with a pipe and get some fresh fuel in there. Then give the bike a good run using all the rev-range through the lower gears. Then report back.

07 blade vibro....

Erm........   we finally had time to investigate today..........erm....the outer clutch basket had lost 2 of its fins, leading to removal of oil sump where all fractured parts were located.....   total engine strip and rebuild is whats required. Can only imagine that it had floars in the cast!

However i did believe we was going to find a oil pump chain tentioner in the sump too, as there is a bolt hole in the block at the side of a very slack oil pump drive chain!  so we believe there is no chain tentioner on this model but perhaps on others?  any feed back regarding wether this tensioner exists would be appreciated.  Ho yes we havent got a book...lol
