New MV 675cc triple will spearhead company relaunch

New MV Agusta owner Claudio Castigilioni has confirmed a 675cc three-cylinder sportbike and Brutale will be at the heart of the relaunch of the Italian firm. MCN has caught the 675cc – called the F3 – testing a number of times in the past year but development was halted because of the uncertainty over the future of the company once former...

How long will MV survive having italian owners again. They built great looking bikes but their track record

on the financial front is simply appalling.

Count Agusta must be turning in his grave after letting the name MV go.

been done already!!

Sounds like the Italians are just trying to pull off a British TRIUMPH

3cylinder Daytona 675. This has already been done by a company, and MV have no chance if they think they're are going to be knocking Triumph off the top of those categories. And no doubt the price for one of these is going to be a rip off. At least we know that Triumph have now got a winning formula in their 3cylinders and they are reliable.

Here is an idea for MV, come up with your own ideas and stop trying to rip off other bikes that are already designed in this way. Your going to go into liquidation anyway. No one wants to touch your bikes as the parts are not easy to get hold of.

Kwak kwak

Steve Kwak, you are Kwakers. MV has a long illustrious history of 3 cylinder roadrace bikes. It is a natural for them to come up with a three for the street. You think Triumph has the sole rights to 3 cylinders? I guess Kawasaki, Suzuki, Honda, Laverda etc must all be copycats! You sound like someone from the 60s moaning about Honda "copying" British engineering.

copying someone elses design? isn't that what all bike manufacturers do? it keeps competition healthy anyway. "if they can make that bike, i can make it too but make it better" and so on...

Looks good..

.. will be nice to see another 3 cylinder, hopefully entering WSS to add to the triumph 3 cylinders and add yet more difference to a class ruled by 4s. Kwak, they are building a 675cc triple because that is the largest capacity allowed to compete in supersports racing, something the Italians need to get back into. Am I the only one who thinks Ducati should still be building a 750cc twin? Also, as has been pointed out, MV have a history of powerful 3 cylinder engines in GP racing. Will the next MV f4 be a 3 cylinder in a few years time? We'll have to wait and see
