If he can baby the injury between races, he could finish the season in good form.  Almost over.  Then get the surgery and enjoy the time off.

You're spot on Marconi. A footballer will fall down like they've been shot if there is the merest hint of a tackle, yet a motorcycle racer will highside and run back to their bike to see if they can rejoin the race. Hope Haslam can get the results and beat Biaggi, though I realise that with a 58 point advantage to Max it's doubtful. Still there is no shame in finishing second especially given the lack of development on his bike.
