Hmmmm

Almost looks cool but not quite. Something missing. Deffo need to loose the number above the headlight for starters. Not a patch on any of these: http://www.bikeexif.com/cafe-racer-guzzi http://www.bikeexif.com/moto-guzzi-cafe-racer-3 http://www.bikeexif.com/moto-guzzi-v7-cafe-classic

It is a small thing compared to the old V7 sport.Where do you want to go with just 40hp?

Yeah but no but yeah but...

As a 40 something biker (ok no jibes guys) who's been riding on the road since 16...gone through the road rocket and Italian exotica phases we all do, I've raced at club level too...This is refreshing cool retro with a sub 100mph grin factor for the real life on the road. I like it, but agree the racing number plates as they currently are should go. Come on manufacturers, have the balls to give us more variety for the road and less focus on the track!

How about 80s replicas?

Moto Guzzi - How about doing a copy of the much loved V50 Monza (If anyone has any doubts try and buy one on the classic scene)  - Rocket Red, Handlebar Fairing, comfy but sporty riding position,  Alloy wheels, faired tail (a la RD) and mild tuning (including 2 into 2 exhaust).

Let me see...

Deffo the wrong tune for the bike, alternatives might include: 1: Go your own way - Fleetwood Mac 2: Slow Ride - Foghat 3: Simple Man - Shinedown 4: No One Gets Left Behind - Five Finger Death Punch That last one is, of course, ironic...:)

Interestingly

The relative lack of power doesn't really manifest.

The engine actually doesn't feel laboured, due to a good spread of torque.
It get's to 90mph fairly quickly but after that very much depends on which way the wind is blowing but how fast do you want to go on roads infested with camera's and plod.
Also, let's not forget that Honda's GB500 Clubman and Bros 650, Yamaha's SRX600 were all considered great bikes, and all three had about the same power output as the V7 so let's not give Guzzi too much of a hard time over it.
What matters with a bike like this is torque, which it has plenty of.
So if you want a great little weekend back lane scratcher, and are happy to cruise along at 80mph, then this could be an option.
Oh and yes, I did buy one.

480p.... really?

I'm not worried about the bike's power, I am sure it makes enough to get you in trouble. I'm more concerned about the horsepower in the video, who submits a 480p video these days? Embarassing.
