Credit Crunch Biking - CBR 1000F

18 Months ago I bought an old CBR 1000F for £900 to keep me on the road after the 1300 Pan European had to go, there are 3 other little reports in the archives if anyone is interested. Now 11,000 miles on it's been used every day right through summer and winter with no dramas. It's cost nothing except consumables...

Got one of these :-)

I'v had a CBR 1000fl for the last 4 years. (one of my fave bikes). Its a rock solid mile eater. Vertualy bomb proof

Mine covered nearly 13000 miles in one year, with just service and consumables.

Its a very cost effective reliable commuter bike.

The only problem I find is that any home done maintanence can be difficult (Try changing a starter damper, or cam chain / tensioner).

STAFFORD MOTORCYCLES

Well I have owned two of these wonderful bikes. My last one was sold in July 2009 to a friend. I have recently seen it on the Stafford motor cycles website, complete with its Givi Luggage, £1895. Its got nearly 21000 genuine miles and in extremely good condition. A highly recommended buy !
