Meh

I had a traffic car having a good look at me after I exited a roundabout on to a dual carriageway crossing both lanes to reduce the angle of the corner.

Did two shoulder checks - one on the exit and one before I let it run wide and I had two good reasons for it 1) my torn disc makes my back and legs hurt like hell and 2) my tyres are squaring off so for both reasons it's safer reducing the angle of lean.

They focus on bikes because of the high casualty rates from stupid riders but there's often a thin line between safe, progressive driving where you've done all observations, planning, etc and decided it's safe and those people who just blast it without looking.

In a way, the undercover bikes are the best way of discriminating between the two but it all depends on how much leeway they give people they stop. A bollocking + point out mistakes that can kill the rider can work a lot better than just a straight ticket.

...... that the cyclist got done. Gobby little shite! £700 fine + £215 costs!  Maybe that'll teach him not to ride at night with no lights, run a red light, fail to stop and refuse a fixed penalty lmao!
