Ben Spies close to new Yamaha MotoGP deal

Ben Spies is locked in talks with Yamaha about an extension to his current MotoGP deal. The Texan, who clinched the Rookie of the Year crown in Phillip Island last weekend with fifth place, is negotiating an extension to his current contract that could keep him on a YZR-M1 machine until the end of 2013. MCN understands a new contract could be...

Don't worry about RobTZ, his Spies hating knows no bounds. Not only is Ben not the amazing talent everyone else in the world thinks he is, now Cal, who managed 5th this year on a better version of Bens bike and is obviously a far superior rider will come up and show Ben how its done. If only he were on a factory bike..... I can hear next years spies bashing now

Oh Jesus, I've angered the God squad!

svnut, I especially like the bit about "facts". That made me laugh a lot. As far as I can tell, there are no more "facts" relating to God than there are for the Loch Ness monster.

Anyway, I can't waste time on a theological debate. I've gotta take my copy of "On the Origin of Species" by Charles Darwin back to the library and get down to my local Ducati dealer to place an order for a new bike you might just be interested in. Can you guess what it is?

All Riders are Great

Including Ben Spies IMO and I admire all of them and certainly don't hate any. What is the problem with dealing with facts that everyone gets so annoyed about when it comes to Ben. I would like to see him win, it is just that IMO I don't think he will. Next year will be 3 way fight between Rossi, Lorenzo and Stoner. They will finish in that order.

Well.......

First of all, im a huge fan of Carl Fogarty and even met him once.  Next,  I think Crutchlow is very talented, but has a long way to go to challenge Spies at anything.  If Cal is so good, why isnt he WSB champ ??Spies is not arrogant, he is very low profile.  Lorenzo is arrogant !  Spies will be on the box in short order, believe it !

I'm looking at YOU RobTZ

Ben won't win a race next year? I'll take the bet that he will.

Ben won't finish in the top 4? That's going to be difficult. I hate to piss on the Rossi party but it will be between the Hondas and Yamahas next year. Ben probably will finish 6th this year unless Dovi really cocks it up. With better kit and knowledge of the tracks next year it's in the cards.

But THIS is what I have a problem with - Cal will beat Ben on equal kit? Let me ask you this - what has Cal done for you to say he could beat Ben on equal kit? Win a WSS crown? I'll tell you - NOTHING. Cal didn't equal Ben's WSBK success - it wasn't even close or even on the same planet. And unless he can repeat what Ben has done on the Tech 3 bike next year I suggest you hold back those bold statements. Because I will be watching and I do remember all the bullshit that you've said about Ben this year. Let's see if you hold Cal to the same standard. And if you don't I'll be there to "remind" you of your standards and statements about Ben. I don't forget nor do I forgive easily.

oh! I more thing Rob

Foggy the best Superbike rider? hmmmmmm. I'm a Bayliss man myself but I can go with that considering Foggy success on the roads and short circuits.

But you know the Yanks really wasn't bother by WSBK - too busy in GPs. Even though 5 out of the first 6 WSBK title were won by Americans none of them really cared for it nor was it there goal. After setting ALL the records (some which stand today) Polen lost interest and went back to the States but return with inferior kit and left again to win the world endurance crown - Polen leaving full time was a lucky break for Foggy. Foggy couldn't handle Russell on a far inferior bike - the only 750cc inline 4 to win the title. And Russell won it his first full year. Luckily for Foggy, Russell had his eyes on GPs like most Yanks. Kocinski didn't have a problem of disposing Foggy his 2nd year and would have done it his very first year if he wasn't such an ass and had so many problems with his team. But once again like most Americans he only used WSBK as a stepping stone to GPs. And once Colin left that POS Yamaha and got on decent kit at Honda he was leading Foggy the year Foggy got hurt. So yeah Foggy may have been the best Superbike rider - against the Euros. If any of the Yanks cared to stay in WSBK than, well, use you imagination............

Carl Fogarty is the Greatest Worldsuperbiker

That is a fact. Pure and simple. And I seem to remember he spent a lot of time kicking a Yanks ass doing it. So much so that S R couldn't take the pressure and dived head first into the nearest bottle of J D. Infact while we're on the subject of how great America thinks it is, lets take a little look at the riders of the post Schwantz era. Scott Russell - loser and alcoholic. John Kocinski - insane, and only capable of winning on bikes previously sorted out by great champions like King Carl Fogarty. Hmmm, I'm sure there must be one more. Oh yes of course KRJR - only capable of winning when there's no opposition, and as soon as someone looks like they might beat him, immediatley finds his way to the back of the pack or the gravel trap. 3 individuals to be truly proud of. And where are they now? Shit house, Nut house and Dads house

! I almost forgot C E who only managed to win in WSB once King Carl Fogarty had left, and only managed to beat Bayliss because his Honda was such a weapon. And since going to motogp has done absolutely nothing worth speaking of

I suppose we could look to the domestic series for confirmation of how great america is, whoops no we can't, silly me - completely dominated by Australians

So now we have to look to the current crop. Nicky Hayden - won a championship fair and square. A good bloke, but I honestly hope I never have to see the "shitkicker shuffle" performed on the podium ever again. Never likely to be remembered as one of the greats. And then Bens Pies. This guy has clearly got potential, but he hasn't actually done any real damage in motogp......yet

So I guess the future may look bright for the glory of america, albeit resting heavily on the shoulders of one individual

Meanwhile we have Scott Redding, Cal Crutchlow, Leon Haslam, Jonny Rea, Leon Camier etc

God Save the Queen

I'm not angry...

Sorry I don’t mean to hijack this thread but some things are more important than internet etiquette.

Supermario, please be aware that Darwin’s works are pretty much a debunked theory which has been discounted by modern findings of molecular biology, biochemistry, archeology and genetics. You might be interested in this short read… http://www.darwins-theory-of-evolution.com/

Debating theology isn’t a waste of time as you suggest. If god is real, it is the most important subject that can be discussed. You have totally misunderstood me - I’m not the god squad, or angry. Obviously you didn’t read my story. Maybe it was because I muffed the link. I will try again to get it to work…
