Dani Pedrosa issues engine warning to Casey Stoner

Dani Pedrosa warned Casey Stoner not to get too carried away after the Australian’s sensational factory Honda debut in Valencia earlier this month. Stoner raved about the smooth engine performance of the RC212V machine after he finished a close second to Jorge Lorenzo in the first test ahead of the 2011 MotoGP world championship. But Pedrosa had a cautious word for his...

fact is most races both of them faded this season. So will Stoner not realise he has to do race simulations ever?

Honda vs. Yamaha

I doubt how Pedrosa is informed about Yamaha's performance when he never rode it :)

Having been there Tuesday and wednesday for the test, Stoner never broke sweat doing that time he set,can he do it on worn tyres at the end of the race??,it's just Pedrosa having the opening shot in what will become a serious pissing contest for input to the factory ,just like I'd take absolutely no notice of Rossi's time,he was quick at Valencia, just cute enough not to do a fast lap.

As most are aware, hondas corprate muscle was fundamental in influensing dorna into implamenting the 8OOcc format in 07 , when they themseves had been developing the formula some 3 years earlier believing it to be an ideal format to showboat there percieved supremacy in electronic engine management and traction control and first and formost to eradicate tyre wear  over race distance to a point where riders who had the ability to percure an advantage due to natural ability and superior throttle control, over race distance could no longer proffit .(allways one of rossis greatest strengths) in short ,hondas ethos was to implement a formula that responded more to technical / mechanical prowess than rider abillity. making , they believed, the perfect vessel for there mighty r&d colossus to succeed .  all ,of course ussured in under the guise of cost cutting and rider safety ( yeh right) .... many millions of yen and 7 years( for them) later a formula created to suit a rider like Dp , and hondas R&D department has failed to secure them the coveted world championship...   So yes danny should be a worried man .. honda dont like to leave anything to chance . this is the last chance danny has to be prominent in development and the direction it takes . As we know a new eara dawns, when the 1000s come back in, the "principle" development will all go the way of the rider honda percieve to have the best chance of success in that  formula and whos riding style suits it more . no prizes for guessing that , as far as honda are concerned, that rider is a certain Mr C stoner...hired for the return of the real muscle bikes. .  im sure danny may carry on with honda , afterall he has immense talant and repsol will see to it he gets time to see if he can adapt to the new formula .... but as far as honda are concerned  Caseys the future.... just hope they really liven it up and bin or limit tc and em !!!  lets make it more about rider abillity than rider aids .....  the way it used to be ....

Stoner , plan B

Gasguzzler nail it.   Honda,Repsol and Puig tried every trick   to get a Spanish champion in Pedrosa, plan backfired with  Stoner, Rossi, and Lorenzo ( wrong Spanish champion) . now with Stoner in HRC  plan B is in effect, hes going to be HRCs #1 rider with Pedrosa and Dovi as sidekicks cause HRC wants a return for their 800cc investment, and domination for the 1000cc era, something that  DP and Dovi cant provide.
