Britten V1000

The Britten V1000 was designed in 1991 by maverick bike builder John Britten. It boasted a carbon fibre frameless chassis as well as carbon fibre wheels. John Britten

I think it's great this guy is still held in high regard, In reality he was well ahead of his time with zero money. I'm sure this bike was also raced at the TT as well.  I bet that the bike was also an insperation for Eric Buell too. So  thumbs up John and Eric for your great contributions to the biking world!!!

Genius !

I saw these bikes run at Laguna Seca back in the day.  It would leave the factory Ducati superbikes  for dead on the straights !!  It was said to have 170 bhp at the time.  The innovative design was light years ahead of any  of the "big manufacturers" . Andrew Stroud rode well but couldnt quite nip the likes of Pascal Picotte on overall lap times but i think it finished on the box.  Britten was a genius !!
