Buckmaster backs Ellison for WSS crown

PTR boss Simon Buckmaster believes that his rider James Ellison can win the World Supersport Championship in 2011. Former BSB runner-up Ellison will ride for the new Bogdanka PTR Honda team and will benefit from the same level of bikes and team infrastructure that saw Eugene Laverty fight for the WSS crown for the past two seasons. The new team will...

Right Decision, Good Man...

Great news for James, lets hope that his new team are genuinely on the level of the Parkalgar Honda outfit as mentioned in the article that served Eugene Laverty so damn well, I'm guessing from his comments he could have tarted about in the BSB championship for another year but to be honest what purpose would that have served for him, simply delaying his route onto the World stage for yet another season, at least he puts himself in the shop window for a step back up to the Superbikes providing he can deliver at Supersport level over the next 1 or 2 seasons, good luck to him I genuinely hope he has the team & infrastructure behind him and from his end he has the necessary fight in him to mix it with all the other loons in this Championship, great to have such a British depth of talent on the World stage, best of luck to you James.

2011 can't wait....

Hear hear,

Hope James stays injury free and has a realistic shot at the title, hes been the 'nearly man' for the last two years and deserves some success as hes a great talent.

WSS is looking good for the Brits next season. With Ellison, Lowes, Davies and Gino Rea all on good bikes, lets hope that one of them wins the Championship!

favourite ?

Should Simon be a bit more diplomatic,Of course he can win it but all four riders should be capable I hope this is just a figure of speech and not a "choice of favour" to the team

Love to see James win the title but I think that's devilishly optimistic.
