MCN backs Donington European WSB round

Donington Park is back on the WSB calender hosting the European round of the championship on March 25 to 27, and to celebrate MCN is backing the event with a cut-price ticket deal for the race. With such a prestigious event kicking off the racing season in the UK, MCN has negotiated an incredible £10 off advance race day or weekend...

PBaker !

"whole story

Its a pity this article doesn`t tell you about the additional costs

With transaction charges added two tickets actually cost around £87 so the saving is only £5.50 ish /ticket!!!!!!!!!!!"

I took donningtons past owners to the trading standards and advertising standards agency for doing the same thing with the moto GP tickets. They cost over £10 more for each ticket than advertised when add ons were added. I won my case and Donnington had to make the charges clear but they then went bust, sadly they are back under another name but ripping us off just the same,It will be rained or snowed off any way ! "without any refunds given" so if i do go i will buy on the day if the weather is good,I know i keep saying i will never ever go to this shit hole again but i just love superbikes!!!!,lets hope the new Snetterton 300 gets it next season after Donnington Fu**ks it up this year.

Please get it right Donington!

I took my lovely new lady to the Emirates last week - she loved the seats, clean toilets, the view and even Arsenal (well sort of!). I am going to induct her to the world of two wheeled motorsports with this WSB round. Please Donington, no waiting 30 minutes for a  tardis overflowing with the amber nec tar and the odd brown trout. If you are geting extra seating, please just a nominal charge - I really don't want to auction my internal organs on e-bay just to attend. I appreciate the weather is out of your control but even so, it is very much in your hands to get the circuit well and truly back on the map - yes, you will never please all the people all the time and there will be a lot of 'I'm never going again' but I do believe most will give you the benefit of the doubt and respect to turn up - please just make sure you return this goodwill by giving those who attend a day that exceeds their expectations.

Sorry mate , but I fear it`ll be 'same old Donnington!'..I never missed a GP there and I don`t think in over 20 years I ever saw any improvements for the race fans..in fact after attending the last GP there the access/facilities were just a disgrace.I know the riders love it ,but I`ve always found it a soulless place with zero atmosphere, yeah I know...craner curves is great,but...I just can`t handle going back to that shit-hole...not unless MSV take it over....I`m not too fussed with discounted tickets in March..I want full priced tickets for Brands in August!!! that's were they should be F@#King racing

Dongington

Ill be ring this number very soon as i love donignton as a track and i cant argue donington was poor customer care and facilities 2 years ago put me off but i think the donny onwners have focused more on what we customers want now and the tracks even had a fresh track laid at certian places and hopefully all that digging up was used to make banks to spectate on. fingers crossed ill post on here what my experience was when at the WSBK's im going for the weekend so ill give a little review of the both days

Parkway70 I completely agree Brands is my local race for BSB and its miles better than Donginton but Palmer and that twat who runs the Wsbk's cant agree on ticket prices and to be honest id pay £50 + for a weekend ticket to see the aprilia of Biaggi and Camier go round clearways anyday of the week personal MCN sdhould run a poll on what price people would be happy to pay to see Wsbk's at Brands and show it to the two parties and prove that fans are happy to pay the prices becuase in 2007 ive never seen so many people turn up on there bikes for a race day in my life than that of what Brands produced so with the Many Brits in with a chance this year and in the future i cant see why i have to take a 3 hour journey up to Donington to watch a superbike race plus Silverstone is very clean and parking, food etc is good but im not sitting an country mile away from the track

I`ve been singing yer tune since 09 when Brands was not on the WSBK calender.I organized a 12 bloke trip to Brands Worldsupers every year since 97 everyone of us NEVER complained about the price because it was a fantastic weekend.when the issue of if the price was raised all of us didnt mind( still better value than MotoGp farce ) the only thing I feel will happen is that Snetterton will be the new Brands "big one " and that will justify the bigger entrance fee .But please keep pushing and pestering MCN and Jonathon Palmer to get Brands back on the Worldsuperbike calender .Ps Silverstone campsite is a boring graveyard I was Told.

Silverstone viewing

Mikevy said " Silverstone is very clean and parking, food etc is good but im not sitting an country mile away from the track " Dunno where he sat but when we went to WSB there last year we sat in comfort close to the action both out on the circuit and in the stadium.

To my mind if the lovely folk in the Church hall at Union Mills in the Isle of Man can provide a chair for superb close up viewing, all the freshly made tea, sandwiches and cakes you can consume plus spotless toilets for pocket money prices then professionals like Donington have got no excuse at all.
