since when exactly was an official press release an "exciting feature"?

Why....

Why bother when you get everything through the press anyway, hence it being a press release. Can Rossi pull this sort of thing off....yes, but I dont think he is quite at that stage some how.

Good luck in the season but if your releasing this sort of thing lets make it free.

motogp app

Have you seen the price of the official motogp app though.. now that's taking the piss.

There's a good WSBK timing app that's free.

The point is...

Exposure/marketing and connecting with the loyal individual fans. Look at Lorenzo and Twitter, personally I'd no more do it for a rider than I would a musician, writer, actor or anyone else. But lots of people do and Eugene and his people know this, I'm sure it helps some with cash flow and other advertising etc.

The MotoGP app thing is bang on, silly money, especially when you consider footie result apps are either free or already installed and the team apps are a couple of quid.

I don't have an I Phone, I Pod, I dont use twitter, or facebook, and think my life is prettty complete. If I'm desperate for info when I'm not near a PC, I would just call my brother to get him to check on line or teletext. But this has never happened yet.

I will leave the 'pods, app's,  and 'droids to the people who need info as it happens, I can wait till i get home.
