Checa on provisional pole, Laverty on front row

Carlos Checa maintained his relentless pressure on his WSB rivals by setting the pace yet again in the first qualifying session at Phillip Island. The in-form Spaniard made his pace setting 1m 31.577s lap look effortless onboard his Althea Ducati and with similar race pace he remains the odds on favourite for victory on Sunday. The only consolation for his rivals...

I hope Nori will climb up to about 9th spot, always nice to see him storm to 1st in 2 laps from the 3rd row. Guintoli is going really good. By the way does annyone know if the Yoshi gixxer in 10th place is just a wildcard ride? Or will they ride all season. Laverty is going well too, cool all white helmet. All things considered? I cant wait for the first race.

Happy to see.

A Yamaha rider is in the top three those Ducati's are unstopable around the PI circuit.

Go Haslam!

Seven tenths up on Corser as well.

It'll be a different season for Troy this year with someone finishing ahead of him...

Corser is used to that, Nori beat him in 98% of all races on the Santander bank Yamaha R1. Having said this, i must admit my hero Nori san had lots of help from Troy in setting up the R1. Maybe Leon will do the same, BMW would not care. They  just want someone to win on the Beemer. Nori will have to figuer out the Aprillia on his own, wich is not his strong point. Still i hope Nori can win some races.
