Yamaha can cope without Rossi and Furusawa, says race boss

Yamaha boss Lin Jarvis is adamant the double blow of losing star rider Valentino Rossi and the major engineering influence of Masao Furusawa in the space of a few months will not hurt the Japanese factory's bid for a fourth successive MotoGP crown in 2011.Rossi quit Yamaha at the end of 2010 to complete a big-money two-year deal with rivals...

i think...

It will....with yamaha's egg's in lorenzo's basket....anything less than a win will show he has no development skill so does not deserve the wage he demanded.

And it will go from bad to worse next year when the 1 litre bikes come out.

Yamaha's brush with fame is like two ships passing in the night, and one of them ships is captained

by a certain valentino rossi....Passing by on the port side laughing his cock off..??

Maybe...!!....probably....??....Almost certainly........   :-)

Anything less than a win...

Win?  One race win or the big final win of Champion again?

With the level of talent and speed at the front of the MotoGp grid this year, I would not necessarily say if Lorenzo diesn't win the Championship this year as showing he cannot develope a bike.  If he is riding behind the Aliens and those threatening, it might mean they have just come on in experience or that their bikes are better.  IF the Yamaha ends up going backwards through the year then yes, something will be going wrong with the bike.  And it will be incrediblly difficult for him to do anything like he did last year - 9 race wins and only off the podium twice.

Nothing so far has shown Lorenzo cannot assit the engineers and bike builders with developing a bike.  It's the last year with 800's now so nothing's going ot be drastic and most of the bikes are competetive.  I think it will be the riders who make the difference.  Even Bautista showed that last year - he rode the Suzuki quite well considering.
