Six-month suspended sentence for 149mph speeder

A motorcyclist has been given a six-month suspended jail sentence for pulling a wheelie and speeding at 149mph on the M2 in Kent. Danny Bleach, 37, was filmed from an unmarked police motorcycle as he wheelied and reached over double the limit on the M2 bridge between Strood and Chatham. Bleach, from Belvedere, was ordered to do 200 hours’ unpaid work, banned...

Filth - protests

You hear that the filth are planning to get Liberty to oversee their operations for the "Stop the cuts March" protests at the end of this month?  Apparently they're going to go all softly-softly this time, no beating newsagents to death or shooting innocent electricians in the head, nothing.

This wouldn't be anything to do with the fact that the filth themselves are up for the chop in this set of cutbacks, by any chance?

Right on.......

......SlowLearner....... the plod don't like it when the boot is on the other foot, now its a case of scaremongering via the media with cries of "crime will rise" and old people will be beaten half to death on the streets" if the police are cut? BOLLOX, the problem has been that too many of them have sat on their arses doing nothing exept issuing crime numbers over the phone instead of being on the streets and PREVENTING CRIME they choose to CHASE CRIME  after the crime has happened using all the latest gadgets known to man, well time has caught up with you lot and about fucking time i say......here here! here here!

Police are told not to pursue motorbikes when stolen or fail to stop, not cars. If this fella wants to open up his bike and enjoy it, good luck to him. Theres a lot that do. The problem here is that he chose to do 149 on a 70mph road which was observed by a covert bike. What often happens in situations like this, which is evidenced on this thread, is that the attention switches from the offender, to the police. This is typical in this country. However, when all the noise goes quiet, the offender still did 149. So if the police were wrong to report him and the courts were wrong to convict him, how should the law deal with it ?

Right....

....We are not saying it was wrong to pull him over for excessive speed as 70mph is the limit and 149mph is not, but a wheelie on a public road is classed as dangerous driving, so he could have pulled him then as he wheelied at 83mph not 149mph, all we are pointing out is that there was no need to reach 149mph before stopping him. Two wrongs don't make a right!

Maybe a different officer would have made an earlier decision, who knows. The officer may have a valid reason as to why he didnt, again who knows. Regardless of this, the rider could have chosen to do 70 instead. His choice. The mistake he made was not asking himself, could this bike behind me be police ? He obviously wanted to give it some on this occasion, and therefore should have asked himself that question before the throttle.

Have I got this right. Rider at circa 100mph accelerates whilst overtaking then drops back to circa 100mph. Police bike speed up to 140mph to catch up when he sees the bike in front. Police bike rides up close to the first rider a few times (why?) . By complete coincidence there is another police motorcycle ahead. who stops the rider who was then doing 70mph (why?). It seems this was a coordinated speed trap, and the following police rider did his best to encourage the rider to go faster than 100mph, rather than stop him at 100mph. Yes he broke the law  and was made an example of. Are there any laws about supplying arme to Libya I wonder?

Speed and wheelies.

Although the police are supposedly there to prevent crime there are no government brownie points in that. Instead they are rated according to their conviction rate, so they need to gather evidence to ensure a conviction rather than switching on the "blues and twos" and ending this kind of behaviour as soon as they see it. Sadly this means that whilst they perceive this as a danger to the public they'll allow it to continue until they've accrued lots of evidence. If the police bike doesn't have a siren and lights it's just another speeding biker as far as other motorists are concerned.

get a naked bike

if you think you'll speed then get a naked bike with a sit up and beg position. that way you'll notice when the needle strays above the golden 70 and wont wanna ride faster. there are some roads that can be enjoyed at 30 mph and far more that are fun 50-60.

That's the problem

.........James600zx....life is not about brownie points, its about remaning alive, gathering evidence and then finding the bastard has crashed and killed himself and others is no good at all, The Police are there to prevent crime and keep the public safe, fuck the government they are the biggest crooks of them all, usually backed up by the police but i still say that he could have been pulled very early on in the video, why did the officer immediately chase after him on entering the motorway? then back off, then go back after him, if he thought he was speeding on entry to the motorway he should have pulled him, no wheelie would have taken place but i understand your point about brownie points, why get someone for speeding when if you wait 5 mins you can have them for a more serious crime. Trouble with that is the police are endangering our lives to secure a more serious conviction.

Can you imagine being in a pub and someone punches you in the face, the local police arrive and think hang on a minute lets see if he's going to stab him before we intervene??????/fucking mental way of thinking.
