The Japanese factory hasn’t scored a top three finish since Loris Capirossi took third place in the Brno race back in 2008. And now that Suzuki has slashed its involvement in MotoGP to just one factory GSV-R because of...

I know exactly what you are talking about but....

I can't think who it was...... Not one of the Hayden's was it?

The curse of brand new tyres.

You'd be amazed how often that happens. I used to buy my tyres from a place that had a map of shame on the wall, with about a dozen places where people had not even made it out of the industrial estate before dropping their bikes. I almost came a cropper myself once on new tyres, I was about 20 miles away, tipped into a roundabout and slid about a foot sideways. I'd like to say it was skill that kept me up, but it was pure dumb luck . I'm not sure if there's any video, but there are certainly plenty of stills of Mr Gardner exiting a corner with only the tips of his fingers attached to his crossed up NSR, and who can forget Randy Mamola running alongside his before remounting.
