Qatar MotoGP: Casey Stoner continues dominant form

Casey Stoner continued his unrivalled domination of the Qatar MotoGP weekend into a second night this evening, the Aussie comfortably heading the timesheets at the end of second practice at a windswept Losail International Circuit. The Australian was typically fast immediately out of the garage, his second lap putting him under the 1.56 barrier, which only Repsol team-mate Dani Pedrosa managed...

Cal crutchlow - to come out and post that time and be 8th when he has consistently been at that back seemingly struggling in testing and then with his shoulder surgery in the off season and now his hand injury - awesome!

So fast...

Mr Stoner is in a league of his own so far. Good on ya mate!

For those that don't think less weight is an advantage, just look at what Mr Crutchlow is doing now that the excess (and obviously unnecessary) fingertip  has been eliminated (surely the painkillers have nothing to do with easing his shoulder handicap).

Vale, you are making progress bro. Keep up the good work.

Go Spies !!!

No stopping.

Casey when it comes to Qatar question where he does get all that energy from this track is officially his.

Cal also amazed to see him up in 8th place after all his problems.

As for Rossi another good effort and progression.

GO Elbowz!!!

I've accepted the fact that the Honda will finish 1 - 2.. (Barring any unfortunate incidents for them).. Just as long as Spies puts the yamaha on the podium at qatar, I'll be pleased..  Obviously, wishing he can pull the upset win, but it will be easier to swallow if i accept 3rd now.. So now that i've settled for less, should the yamaha's pull off the win, i'll be elated, if they stay where they are, i'm happy non-the-less.. but if they fall... depression ensues..

Nice to see Cal improving dispite the injury... Rossi didn't improve elbowz, he went backwards....slower than his time in FP1..albeit by only a tenth of a second..   I'm very concerned for Elias.. I was happy to see him get a shot again at GP after his moto2 championship season.. but to be 3 full seconds off the pace.?? got me wondering what must be wrong with him/his team/his bike.... Hopefully he improves throughout the season.. otherwise, its back to moto2, if he should be so lucky..
