MCN Donington WSB: Biaggi fined 3000 Euros for Melandri slap

Max Biaggi was fined 3000 euro for an altercation in pit lane after Superpole 3 which resulted in the World Champion slapping Marco Melandri. The incident was the result of their antics on track during Superpole 2 where Melandri had to abort a flying lap after encountering Biaggi who was cruising on the racing line. After a bout of arm waving...

Melandri should have pulled Biaggi's Hair Implants out, Biaggi is a Ball Bag.

Too Far

It is more of a little tap rather then a slap. Marco seemed to more amused by it then anything else. Is this not just a bit too much fuss over nothing. My fingers are crossed for Leon today. He certainly seems to have got that BMW going. Camier looked good in the warm up; maybe coming out of Max's shadow.

Never liekd him, but I so wish for him to come back to Motogp. Rossi, Cal, and now Marco. Although as Robtz pointed out, was more a tap than a slap. Pure entertainment though

Blimey, if they charge that much for a slap, how much for a blowjob?

strange

how people perceive things differently.
Did anyone see what Melandri did to Biaggi at Melbourne?
What caused Biaggi to slow down when he held Haga up?
I know Biaggi can be arrogant at times but I reckon he gets unfair critism at times.
Most of these incidents are not intentional and they happen regularily with all riders.

Bloody typical ...

The World has gone quite mad. Deliberately or not, dawdling and faffing about on the " fast line " has caused numerous near misses, a few hits resulting in serious injuries and is very bad form, pure and simple. It totally ruins someone else's " fast " Lap and therefore maybe a good grid position ... So, Max is guilty of a sporting crime that is tantamount to " holding back another player by the shirt or tackling over the ball " - Melandri retaliates and sends an unmistakeable message ( by diving underneath and forcing Biaggi to sit-up and miss the apex ) - then our Maxi gets fined for the bitch slap?

It is long past time that the FIM etc got serious about this issue- which is as much a " safety " one as any lack of run-off. Should any rider open his mouth and complain about it they are instantly labelled a whinger by the great unwashed and ignorant. This is something that has to be addressed before any one gets badly injured or killed. The fine should have been for the misbehaviour and utter disregard and carelessness on-track - not the aftermath - which was a mere mosquito bite between two tiny blokes, according to you know who. Cheers

Disgraceful behaviour

from Biaggi all weekend. First he nerfs off Fabrizio in FP and gets dragged in front of race direction, then he balks several riders during practice and delivers 'schiaffetti' slaps to Melandri in his own garage for, which he's fined E3k. And that's not even including incidents like ignoring fans and running his scooter into Andrew Pitt in the paddock without apology.

Great rider, colossal fail as a person. Hope Melandri sorts him out on track today.
