Triumph & BMW Servicing costs

I'm thinking of getting a Tiger 800 XC or F800GS but I was wondering how much they cost to service; are the premium brands much more expensive to service than the Japanese ones?

I know its a radical idea..

but why not ring the dealers and ask? - they usually have menu pricing now

In my experience, most main dealers will ave' yer kex down given half a chance!

Before you part with any money

do a deal which includes servicing. You never know you may be lucky. :winkie:

Servicing Cost

Don't know if its a standard thing at all Triumph dealers, but Jack Lilley, my local dealer, just serviced, MOT'd and put new tyres on my T'bird and it was £74 for an annual service, plus parts.  I thought that was a good price.

No,it just depends on the model, and access to things such as valves etc. On the models you mention, the price is pretty similar so I wouldn't worry.  Just don't buy a Kawasaki GTR1400 if it needs a 12,000mile service done by the book,or you'll be looking at between 8-10 hours labour
