sportsmart are expensive

I'm after some tyres for the road and the odd track day but i need something that will inspire confidence in the wet as well. I was thinking about dunlop sportsmarts but they are pretty dear!! Is there anything else anyone can recommend? What about the old qualifier 2? The bike has got the original pirelli supacorsa's on at the min which are good but not sure about the wet performance!!!

SportSmart's

I'm probably in a similiar place to you right now... It's really difficult to get some unbiased advise on tyres..

I have been a long time supporter of the racetec Metzeler's and Supercorsa Pirelli's, but have just ordered a set of SportSmart's.

Everthing i can find on them is really positive, but i guess the only way to really know is to buy a set and appraise them for yourself..

I am banking on good allround grip, wet/dry with the occasional excersion onto the racetrack.. The extra price should be offset by mileage so here goes..

Avon's?

They can sometimes be found a little more cheaply and they do a range of sports tyres right through to road-legal track day types.
