Mark

Not a BM owner yet, but seriously thinking of the F800ST so keep us posted please!

All reviews I've read go along the lines of: VFR beater with decent fuel economy, that'll do for me.

Welcome

Welcome to the site Mark.  The natives are generally helpful and friendly, but I don't think you'll find many F800 riders on here.

Don't take this

the wrong way...but should you have not done this before putting the deposit down?

Having said that, for what its worth, I met a guy in the I.O.M last year who loved his.

Great bike...

mate of mine has got one and he loves it! Can't see any bad points with it, plenty quick enough, good on the old government revenue juice and reliable. Wouldn't mind one myself

This is weird

A friend of mine just bought a brand new one of these and let me have a go on it today.

Quite an amazing bike and difficult to fault as far as I'm concerned.

OK maybe if I'm being very picky, it's just a tad bland but it goes like the clappers and is deceptively quick.

I don't know about tank range, but this bike had an mpg computer and if that's to be believed, at a steady 70mph I was returning 63mpg

No Mark

A guy swapped me his Blackbird for my old  '74 Triumph Bonneville, so I've been misbehaving on that this year.  Gonna keep 'bird and v-strom next year I think and move to updated F800ST or KTM1190 2014
