No final decision has been taken on whether Suzuki will even participate in 2012 and the latest rumour to emerge is the Japanese factory will stay next year, but it won’t roll out a new 1000cc machine...

I understand that Suzuki are uncompetitive and I feel genuinely sorry for Bautista taking that option to get into the premier class with his buddies Barbera and Simoncelli. I don't understand the same people complaining about small grids and no race action in Moto GP telling them to "feck off". If they want to scrape around with the CRT boys that is their business! If you don't want Suzuki on their 800 then tell Pramac, Aspar, LCR, Mr. Abraham and the rest to stay home and save their money. Why waste their dosh and work hard to entertain an unappreciative audience. ***** They all know they won't win a race let alone the title but they are still playing the game. What do we do but log on and complain. Has anyone sent Suzuki any money? Passed Paul a few 50 pound notes to help run another bike? NO??? Didn't think so..... I have a bit of respect for the sponsors who spend millions on no hopers in all classes and all championships. Without their generosity weekends would be a lot less interesting. I don't ride on the road but I don't go around slagging off couriers, tourers, cruisers, or born again weekend warriors. The money spent on in all these areas of motorcycle commerce have helped develop the machines we have today. Without the popularity of "trackdays" most of our circuits would have been turned into housing estates by the early 90's! A percentage of "trackday" riders are slow, ignorant, down right dangerous, or even all three. But we all need their money so others can enjoy the facilities. ***** Therein lies the state of any form of racing. Every once in a while there comes a moment when multitudes will bang bars for the prizes. But generally their will always be just a couple of riders, machines, or teams who are the cream of the season and stay at the top. We need the rest to keep them afloat..............

Denning notes "The most important thing is that Suzuki is in MotoGP to represent the brand and to develop new technology. But it is Suzuki’s train set and they will do with it what they see fit."

I think the essence of his statement is "they are pissing away thier chances and pissing off thier customers by thier overall lack of enthusiasm and I cant do shit-all to stop them..."

there will be some tracks where they have the advantage in qualifying and when running alone, but races... its time for germany again, lets get Jacque on the blue bike and have a laugh!

that just might work. This not quite the right thread to put this but what the heck. Suzuki are in gps just barely by the skin of their teeth cos of rizla and dorna money cos dorna dont want an even smaller grid. Here's an idea i've been toying around with for a while. Why dont dorna have couple of riders contracted directly to dorna who turn up at every round as motogp's equivalent of an understudy in a theatre play. So if someone was to "break a leg" or a collar bone in motogp's case then the motogp understudy could step in play the role as it were. (i.e cal crutchloy has just fallen off and been taken to medical centre with suspected collar bone injury. Dorna boss goes over to tech3 and says right tech3 boss, get your spare bike ready and pick one of these guys and he'll get his motogp sponsored leathers on and be on your bike in 10 minutes) This would at least prevent the grid being completely bare if couple of riders get injured. It would only work if the manufacturers were all agreed or made to agree on it and the riders were impartial cos manufacturers want to protect their secrets, specially honda. They wouldnt want someone riding dani's bike one week and then riding colin's yamaha the next week and riding rossi's ducati at assen cos fell off in practice (jinx)

Suzuki have run out of steam. I think they took a wrong turn to begin with. Should have the same route Yamaha did with the inline 4. It's too bad as Suzuki make some damn fine road bikes.Maybe they should get together with Kawasaki and pool their resources? it'll never happen.
