Testing, testing 1 2.....
Come on guys, don't let this explode into a row again!!! He's only getting an evolution of the bike he should've got IF Ducati were remotely serious about 2011 and compete with Honda's new bike.
Ducati have been forced, as have Yamaha, to make some pretty radical changes to keep up. The GP11 was a dog on its introduction. No more improved than the GP10 that its 'Master' couldn't even ride.
The frame is an evolution, the engine a re-design and as for the gearbox, it had to have been part of the plan because you can't design and test something that quickly.
This story will simply get everyone making judgements before they happen. Rossi won't be much faster, probably just closer than before. 2011 is atest year for most factories apart from Honda who happen to have their formula right...for the first time in the 800cc era.
Rossi is a wise old fox who simply didn't come to Ducati to ride around problems, he came to help fix them for the future. Don't expect miracles this weekend because it will be a Honda white wash for many races yet.
And please, please don't chuck in the "well, Casey didn't even get a warm drink when he was there" crap, it takes two to tango and they forgot the steps!!!
