Turning ur tyres round..

I have a K2 GSXR600 track bike and am doing Donington on Tuesday. My rear woz a bit trollied on the right hand side so I tried to get it fitted backwards but found all I got woz lots of tuts, furrowed brows, shakes of head and nah mate, thats a bad plan!
Now I realise it wouldn't have been ideal and in theory the tyre could delaminate but I know people have done it before and as I woz fully aware of the situation and risks I would have started steady and seen how it went...

Ur thoughts.........

tyres are omni-directional. Look on your side wall and there will be an arrow showing the direction of rotation. This will be why you didn't find a tyre fitter that wanted to know, even though you knew the risk, it would be their public liability insurance that took the hit if you had a big off. Same reason you'll struggle to get one to fix a puncture in a sidewall etc.
