Insurance industrys dirty secret

Did you know there is a plethora of information gathered about you and sold on to insurance companies ? In turn insurance companies sell on data to no win no fee companies.
For example ANPR cameras are everywhere, they track your journeys and log your average speed over the course of those journeys.
This information is then sold to insurance companies so they can make assessments when deciding on your premium.
Accidents and claims are actually at an historic low, yet premiums at an historic high ?

I hate insurance companies !!

They get a broker to get your custom......then when you claim..they find the smallest error and then refuse to pay out.

Im currently going through the financial services ombudsman and going after my insurance company....

My advice to all is......avoid Ageas Insurance like the plague.......!!!!!!!!!

Phone numbers

Ha,

I really got confused this week. Not done an insurance quote for 6 months either bike or car and so half way through my policies I have been bombarded with phone calls... On my personal work phone, which I have never given to the companies. I want to know how they got that number.

Also what I have found is good, threaten them with legal action of harassment if they phone again, that stops them fast.

Phone numbers

Whenever i use the comparison sites for quotes I put in the wrong phone number. When u find a quote you like you can just amend your details and sort it out without getting hassled by loads of kids from call centres. Simples

I have tried that with a fake phone number and amending it, though some websites check the number and have come back with an error saying it is not valid.

I do believe though as a law abiding citizen. I pay my tax and plod along in life, get screwed by insurance companies. £880 TPFT for bike and £660 fully comp for car a year..

Though a friend has passed his car test last week. Got a 2002 1.4L Peugeot 206 cost him just shy of £1000 and the best insurance quote is £2,700. Its a joke.
