insurance for bike in alarmed shed

hi all,

whenever i get a quote the only options for storage of the bike is either garage, driveway, road etc but nothing about sheds.my shed is alarmed and have a ground anchor in the floor.has anybody had dealings with any insurance companies that understands a shed is more secure than the road or driveway.

thanks for the help

Bikes inSheds

My bike is kept in a secure shed that is built into the house and this usually comes under secure building on my insurance.:sunglasses:

Shed.

I thought when it comes to bike insurance a shed counts as "garaged"?

garage,shed.

Don`t talk a load of boll*cks, how can you have a shed built into a house,a shed is a hut or a crude cabin,a garage is for a car to be kept in and they ask if it`s stone/brick built.

Shed vs Garage

It's simple; garage = brick-built building = secure and shed = wooden structure = not secure.  That is how it is viewed by the underwriters.
